Certainly how you’re feeling can have an effect. Attitude is important too.
In particular, there are plenty of high IQ people with low-Conscientiousness personalities - and low-C is quite sufficient to negate any IQ advantage in modern society. I have met several de facto ‘unemployable’ people with very high intelligence, and indeed such people tend to form the nucleus of the high IQ/ ultra-high IQ societies.
It’s something of an ASD special interest doing IQ,and other, tests. However I’m no guru, and certainly not able to accurately say what your IQ is . Very loosely -above average+.
It’s down in my records as being 69. I don’t mind really as having this IQ gets me services from Intellectual Disability services and that team is good to be under. When the psychologist conducts the IQ test they don’t just do the test put mine looked through all my school reports from aged 5 to 17. I went to a special needs school and had extra help during this time.
Also I have to add I spend a lot of time with people with mild Intellectual Disabilities and some of them you wouldn’t be to tell they have this disability as their vocabulary is good but they have problems with impulse control and decision making, they are also vulnerable to exploitation and are susceptible but to the outside world they look and act somewhat normal.
You don’t seem to understand. 83 IQ is about the cutoff as determined by the military where a person is basically incapable of doing even the easiest work. Being able to operate a computer is well past that level of capability. Also you’re fairly articulate. Your IQ isn’t 69.
I totally disagree with anybody with IQ under 83 being incapable of anything but the easiest work. I spend a lot time with people with Intellectual disabilities and people in the Borderline/Mild/high moderate intellectual range (between 75 and 60) are capable of many things. One person I know who has mild intellectual disabilities is a tour guide telling tourists all about the origins of my towns medieval castle and he’s very good at it. People have weak/ strong points.
I had people with intellectual disabilities work in my university’s cafeteria. Only some looked to have intellectual disabilities. Some were working in the cafeteria, others were janitors. I actually had a conversation with a girl there who was in the group of the intellectually disabled. She seemed normal. She asked what sandwich I liked the most in the cafeteria so I told her and then she told me her favorite sandwish. Her supervisor told her to not speak to strangers.
