My novel idea

I started writing a novel a few days ago and I’m 5 pages in. Farthest I’ve ever come along with it. I think I just picked out a title, “Ocean”.
It’s main character is based on me, so trans, autistic, and has schizoaffective. Some experiences are based on me, some on others I have read. It’s going to reference Against Me a lot, a band I love that writes a lot about trans issues.
My goal of writing this book is to help people in similar boats find themselves, as in the end the character finds himself and accepts who he is.

sounds great.

you can always make it novella too,
if it seems too daunting.

I would read it! If you open up an account on amazon you can self-publish to amazon for free. Its called amazon kdp. You can also upload e-books which are easier to sell and platform. Everyone’s writing style is different. I read that Steven King writes seven pages a day/but you dont have to do all that to be a best seller. Just put your passion into it! Good luck! I think it would help a lot of people.

last I checked it’s no longer free, but cost $50 to publish an ebook.

not sure though, let me know if you find out.

Bezos! and now he’s going into space!

Best luck with your efforts. I’d tentatively like to add to what others have said that in a novel, however inspirational your aims, you are under no obligation to provide a happy ending or seek to help others. That’s not what novels are for. Graphic novels, however, can be more amenable to those goals.
