She wants gift cards for clothing shops for Christmas but what does a paralegal wear to work? I don’t know what to get her. I mean Target?
I would think business clothes. No jeans. Button up shirts, dark pants. Nice work skirts. I wouldn’t suggest short skirts or low cut shirts. Classy.
I’d say some nice sweaters with slacks and a couple of suit jackets.
Back during my corporate days (blech!) I shopped for clothes at Burlington Coat Factory-- they have a ton of really nice suit jackets from Calvin Klein and Tahari for around $30 each.
Target also had a few suit jackets as well but I forget the price range for those.
You can find super nice clothes at second hand stores if your niece is into that.
Target does have a section of work and business attire.
@anon78876561. She could find those things at Target or TJ Maxx? I think her internship starts after January. My dad was telling me to get her a gift card at the thrift shop. He’s just crazy sometimes. But that’s what she wants is gift cards for clothing bc she doesn’t have any money and she needs nice clothes for work.
I would wear casual smart.
I’ve seen really nice clothes at thrift shops but the thing is a lot of times those clothes don’t fit. I mean I think she has money for thrift shops.
She’ll find a lot of good stuff at TJ Maxx for sure. Like @anon12381882 said, Target also has a business attire section-- so between those two she should be golden.
Thrift stores are a solid option as well-- can’t always be sure they’ll have exactly what you want, since the selection is always different (at least at my local store
), but I’ve found some really good stuff there as well.
I would suggest kohls or kohls.com. I would also suggest a consignment shop which is not exactly the same thing as a thrift shop. Usually the owners a more picky about what they sell in the shop unlike a thrift store.
If your niece is plus size at all, I would recommend Burlington Coat Factory for nice clothes. It’s like TJ Maxx, but with a better plus size selection.
I took my 19 year old to Kohl’s and TJ Maxx for her new work clothes. I don’t think Target is nice enough overall for a paralegal job, but you might find some stuff there
Oh that’s a great idea!!! We don’t have a Burlington here but she can shop online. I don’t know exactly when her internship starts. I think after January.
Oh thank you!!! Definitely not Target then!!!
I would go with Kohl’s
Is that aussie for business casual?
Lane Bryant has business attire.
A nice pant suit. A fitted skirt with a blouse.
