Interview Attire?

Okay, y’all, I’ve got that interview at the beginning of the week, and I’m so nervous! I really want it. It’s minimal hours, decent pay for part-time, and very close to me. But I don’t have anything to wear! I ordered a dress that I thought would work, but when I got it, it was a big ol’ Nope! Right now, my option is nice blue jeans, a nice black blouse I got but never wore, and cute black shoes. Minimal makeup, light jewelry. Would that work? I have no idea what this environment is like. It’s not traditional office work, but it would be an admin position. Still not in a typical building or anything. Kind of a showroom for construction projects? I searched online to see if I could find pictures of anyone from the group, and I couldn’t find a thing; consequently, I don’t know how they dress! Thoughts? Please help!

Can you get slacks instead of jeans?

I don’t have any, and I am broke until Wednesday, which is after my interview. Grrrr. I had picked out the cutest pencil skirt and purple top online, but even if I return the dress I ordered, I wouldn’t have enough money for the other stuff. Plus, it wouldn’t arrive in time.

I do have a pair of satiny black jeans that I’ve only worn once. Maybe they would be more appropriate than just blue jeans? They are certainly more dressy.

I also have a deep green dress, but I’d always seen it as a holiday party sort of thing. I don’t want to be overdressed or dressed funny for the occasion, you know?

ETA: The green dress has some shimmery gold in it.

Can you post a pic of the jeans and of the dress?

I know where the dress is, but I’ll have to look for the jeans. Give me just a sec, and I’ll post a dress pic.

Can you post a pic of you without the dress, and one with the dress, for comparison?

Just kidding. :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

I say the black jeans sounds good, but it’s your decision.

Here’s me without the dress lol.

I am not an expert in dress codes. If I were to choose between 2 outfits, I’d go with the one that makes me feel more comfortable. Interviews are stressful, I need to feel as good as possible.

I’m leaning towards the jeans. I got them ages ago but only wore them once because they felt dressy to me, and I don’t leave home most of the time.

I found an outfit, and Paypal helped me afford it! Torrid had pants and a top available for pick-up at a relatively nearby store. The only catch is that I don’t love the top. It’s very red, and bright red’s not really my color. I got a pair of slacks, too. Black, bootcut.
