My new neighbor

My case manager called me about the guy they moved in nextdoor to me. I knocked on his door and told him our case manager wanted to talk to him. He came by my door to use my phone, then he told me he doesn’t have any food and asked me for some. I called our case manager, and she’s going to take him grocery shopping.

He said in group therapy my apartment building wouldn’t rent to him a year ago because of his background check. Our psychiatric care provider pulled some strings, and he moved in this week. I wary of him because of his background check, and really don’t think I want to get involved.

I went and told him to meet our case manager downstairs in the lobby, and I haven’t heard from him since. She brought him some money from his account. My psychiatric care provider manages his money. I just hope he doesn’t end up being trouble.
