It’s pretty cool that she is turning out to be so social. She is very possessive, but she cuddles up and spoons with me and rests her head on me whenever she can.
Her and king Gonz ain’t getting along at all. They will seem to do a bit better later on in the day then Marcy will get some sleep and wake up with energy and old motivations and seek the ■■■■■■ out just to start a fight with him.
She wants me all to herself. Strange how smart she is. She’ll be in my lap and be totally not aggressive to me, but growl at Gonzo to try and claim territory.
They’ll get over it. The only problem is gonzo is so passive and he just isn’t going to stray from that. The little year old kitten is managing to push him around.
It’ll boil out. I’m just going to kennel her off and on so Gonzo can maintain his sense of placement inside.
I’ll know they are fine when they both can sleep on my bed with me.
Within 24 hours though, this little cat claimed me as her protector and owner… She meows at me like I’m her parent. So it’s a pretty strong and sociable bond she’s formed with me.
Can’t wait for her and Gonzo to get along… Gonzo has a lot of behaviors I’d like for her to adopt and I think it’d be pretty cool if they could just settle each others ongoing needs for being petted and having external attention. Then I just have a couple casual ass cats that really aren’t a burden, they take care of themselves and each other, sleep with me, and let me know when they’re out of food. Then I can imagine playful cat shenanigans going on when I’m gone. Instead of a lonely Gonzo growing depressed and confused in the face of his world being so empty…
