I had a cat from about age 2 to age 16. Her name was Tasha. We honestly despised each other until I was 14 or so, which was when we started growing fond of each other.

I remember playing Blackbird by the Beatles on the day she died… It was very sad.

Not yet. And my mom wants the white one, so I think we’re keeping that one  And I still don’t know if it’s a she or a he

6 indoor cats,
3 females: an 18, 7, and 1 year old,
3 males: all 7 years old.

and 3 outside cats,
Moma and her 2 babies from 3 litters ago (1 1/2 year olds).

One cat here.

Came home from work with my sister one day and she dumped him on my parents so they went out and adopted 2 golden retrievers who had never seen one but loved killing rabbits. So he went back to living under a bed in one room which had been the experience of the 9 past years of his life.

So I took him in and eventually introduced him to the great outdoors where he learned to hunt mice and moles and met his first other cat who actually looked exactly like him. Then I moved into a second floor condo where his outside is the porch. But he’s adjusted and seems happy. He’s not the most cuddly of creatures but loves a good belly scratch and demands to have his chair next to mine at my desk.

I don’t know…he’s like the only living thing I know I can trust much of the time. I mean friends…I know I have them, don’t always know who they are and I’m sure I have some I don’t even know…but most keep their distance for safe measure. I mean you can’t exactly turn a cat on his person can you? You can’t harass them over the internet. Can’t say anything to them to change their minds.

I love dogs too, just can’t have one due to his being traumatized by them but I think it would be beautiful for him to meet a dog who could get along with him, he watches them from our porch I know that.

I’m considering adopting a small kitty.

Last year on Geodon I couldn’t. I adopted a 2 year old cat. she was so lovely but she wanted a lot of affection so I couldn’t. I took her back. I wish I tried harder. Now I don’t know.

I’m getting a kitten when I get my own place in a year or two.

careful…I ended up with the nightmare kitten from hell not too long ago, had to bring him back to the shelter eventually.

I’ve had a kitten before. I just don’t know about giving a lot of attention. That’s my problem. I just want an emotional connection.

my cat and I basically ignore each other half the time, we just kind of live together. But it’s like there’s definately a connection, we both check in. It’s like the perfect relationship but he’s a cat and also another dude so…figures.

Lol… I had a pet cat Vanillo. I kept him for three years. He was very clever, knew how to open the bathroom door and play something like fetch. Very active cat. I was attached to him. When I got hit with psychosis, I lost all emotional connection. so I rehomed him.

Then last year, I adopted a black female kitten, called her Mila. She was very cute but too shy, she loved me to pet her belly. I just couldn’t. I had a lot of work and she wanted attention all the time I was at home. I took her back in 2 weeks.

Now I’m just not sure. I’m thinking of fostering first and see if I can take it.

Plus cats like to be close to their owners. I don’t know if I want a cat in my bed. especially dealing with the hair and it gets in the laundry. Not sure. Plus the litter box, I don’t know where I will put it.

Try a 200 pound dog who needs to sleep in you’re bed, with his head on the other pillow no less. Otherwise he’d wine himself to sleep outside my bedroom door.

I don’t know, in my experience it’s dogs who demand attention. Cats I’ve always thought of as more independent.
