He said back then the Beatles were the only band he listened to. They performed every genre and he said that you can learn everything about music by listening to them. His words stuck with me and I listen to the Beatles quite a bit.

I love the beatles, their music anyway, john lennon is a huge hypocrit,but i love their music, especially eleanor rigby. I went through a big beatles phase and listened to rubber soul on repeat

John Lennon was definitely a complex individual. I can’t cast judgement on him though because I never knew him personally and I wasn’t even alive when The Beatles were big.
I was born the year he was assassinated.
