My mother kept saying horribly mean things about my fiancee (yes I’m engaged now!) To my face and said some pretty awful things bout me also to my face… so I told her to respect me and my fiancee and to stop reading my mail and if she didn’t I would disown her. Well she did something I never thought she would do… she disowned me. So I am now motherless…

I’m sure you can patch it up in time if it’s something you want to do. If she’s not supportive of you that’s a tough decision. Obviously she’s afraid of you leaving her and is trying to take control.
