My kittens

My half grown kittens tear around my room like they’re in a blender. One of them just caught a baby mouse, and he is letting his brother know he intends to keep it. Their mother is a good mouser too. If anyone needs a cat to keep down the rodent population I have a couple that will fill the bill. Catching mice is in their blood.

My cat catches mice out in the woodpile once in awhile. She eats the head, and leaves the body by the back door.

Recently I got my very first mouse in the house, and for some reason my cat just chases and plays with it. She won’t kill it, they’ve become kind of become buddies LOL

When my cat catches a mouse I grab the mouse and put it outside, just happened a week ago.

I took a mouse from my mama cat and tossed it outside into the bushes. I had a fit of empathy for something small being traumatized. My mother cat also catches baby rabbits. She had one out in the hallway that she was beginning to play with. I took that away from her and tossed it out into the bushes too. I suppose a great many baby rabbits die before they are grown, so my concern for just one was probably futile. Next time I might just let her eat the thing.

I put on a work glove and tried to catch the little bugger, but he was super quick. I would rather put it outside and set it free as well

My cat has caught a couple of birds, but I’ve seen her do it and set the Birds free before she could do any harm
