Here’s my introduction. I was diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic at age 15 I’m 30 now. Even went for second opinion and cat scan. I’m from California.

No offence but very dubious about diagnosis without meds. Most of us here hit the mental health system hard. We end up psychotic and in hospital or worse and taking medications is life saving.
This website is pro medication. Very few survive here without meds and not dissing you by saying that just letting you know.

I was on seroquel and zyprexa. They made me feel like I couldn’t do anything. Just sleep and eat. I’m not trying to tell or influence anyone into not taking their meds by any means. I am just sharing my story.

Seroquel and zyprexa are two of the more sedating meds out there. Have you tried any others? You might be pleasantly surprised.

No ive only dealt with those meds.

Welcome to the site.
I was so psychotic even 20 mg Zyprexa didn’t put me to sleep. All I got was serious side effects that got me into ER with an ambulance.
On Seroquel and Abilify now. Seroquel is sedating and helps me fall asleep. But still I often wakeup after 6 hours.
