My husband won't let me come off depot

@anon29983254 it is very hard to understand for someone whom was not on depot to understand what it does. All they see it is that your are calm regrdless that you are numb and zombified. I understand you a lot, I understand partially your husband, but must be other ways in between. I am struggeling with the same situation as I feel my being would ne so much better without depot. I feel tereble sorry for both of us.

Ducky I understand your situation on Clopixol depot cause I’m on that depot aswell. What has helped me a lot for psychosis and negatives was adding an atypical antipsychotic to the mix. It somehow reversed the mental sideeffects like ahedonia from the Clopixol and also improved the positives. Try ask your doc if he has treated other Clopixol patients with an atypical.

Paper flower I’m so sorry for you and your mum that that happened. I can relate to your sorrow because my mum who is 78 years old is afflicted with Schizophrenia just like us.

Ive been worried all evening because ive been getting pain in my calves and nerves in legs the past few days

I have been thinking of quitting depot clopixol on Wednesday its due, im just scared it might be more side effects . But ive mostly been content with depot lately but now this, it really is scary to me

Ive re read all your advice on this topic and will bring up with a doctor asap about my worries ,maybe change meds but they all seem to eventually cause side effects ?

I’d ask the pharmacist if that’s a known symptom of that drug. It might be from something else

Go on different AP if possible.

That could very well be a side effect of the Clopixol and for that I take.bipertinr(Akineton) anticolinergic side effect meds with the Clopixol and that has helped me for 27 years.

Thanks @columbus my gp or general doctor says the cramps in legs are from meds he did a blood test when i brought it up but nothing came of it, no issue with blood test.
I need to probably bring it up again with him and explain its nerves in legs and pain in calves, not just cramp he might recommend i change meds. Aww its such a big thing changing or Akineton you mention is good? I can try that i will ask

Sorry to bring this topic up again i shoulda opened a new topic, i was in bits worried about whether to take depot or not that was all. I will have it

Ducky I hope you and your doctor find the best possible solution to you problem.
