I love the street food.
Like behl Puri’s
Pani Puri
Pav bhaaji

I’ve never actually had Indian food. It is on my bucket list to taste it someday. I once was about to enter a restaurant I had seen but it was closed, ended up going to a Red Lobster across the way. What is it like? There’s also a Nepalese restaurant within driving distance from here. It reminds me of @far_cry0. Are the two similar? Tell me what should a newb to Indian food get?
I went to an Indian restaurant the last time I was in Chicago. I can’t remember what I ate but it was really good.
I’m very unadventurous , usually have a prawn korma.
Oh man I don’t know what to tell you. First of all I have never tried napalese food but I’d imagine somewhat similar. Do you like spicy food ? I love all kinds of street food. Behl Puri is my favourite but it’s more of a starter.
Well you like what you like
I like the stuff with lots of spinach in it. Like spinach style curries and okra
Yes, I love Thai food so spicy food is good to me! I’ve heard Indian food has a lot of curries? What would you recommend? TELL ME!! I NEED TO TASTE INDIAN FOOD BEFORE I DIE!!! (Lol jk. but yeah i’m interested in tasting it.)
have you tried indo Chinese food. ? How about something like chilli paneer or Manchurian , Chinese behl (it’s Indian Chinese fusion kind of )
Or south Indian food like masala dosa , idli sambhaar ,
Or dahi vada, pav bhaaji, daabelis ,
No, I have not tried any of that. It all sounds so exotic. I’m currently looking at Indian restaurants nearby on Yelp. One is Himalayan cuisine, is that similar to Indian food? All the nearest ones are a combination of Himalayan, Indian and Nepalese restaurants. Also from the looks of some of the plates, are you supposed to eat it with your hands and a breaded tortilla like thing?
I never had Indian food either.
I do intend to try it one day.
Although I do love curry, especially on rice.
I had chicken tandoori at a very fancy Indian restaurant.
It could be similar as they very close to each other. But as I said expect it to be spicy hot
I don’t use hands unless I eating naan bread or something. You eat how you feel comfortable.
I’m Mexican we eat almost everything with a jalapeno! Also tacos are usually not meant for a fork and spoon. I’m not sure i’ll be able to get some Indian food today. I’d have to get a ride. Is it anything like middle eastern food? I really dig that too. But what would you recommend for someone who likes curries? I’m being tempted by Yelp reviews.
It felt a little weird to me when I ate some of those Indian candies with the plate silver in them. I kind of thought, “Am I sure chewing and eating silver isn’t really bad for me?” I survived though. Interesting experience, so I guess I would have to call that my favorite.
If I’m honest I’ve not even heard of the word curry to describe what we eat. But I think you might like idli sambhaar but it’s a South Indian dish … I’ve only ever tried vegetarian foods so j didn’t explore middle Eastern foods …
Are you talking about those diamond shaped sweets. Kaju katli
Middle Eastern cuisine is very tasty but different than Indian cuisine.
They were diamond shaped, yes.
I have to explore it I’m sure they do veggie options
