I played the drums on the “Rock band” game. It was neat. I learned a lot. Until my son decided to move the drums and pulled the cords out. Could not be fixed. Big loss. Maybe I’ll buy another drum set. You made me remember the fun. Thank you.

If you want to do, go for it. A creative outlet can help fight against some symptoms. My preference is writing. When I was younger I played the flute but recently I tried learning the guitar but it was hard because my fingers are a bit on the chubbier side…I can do scales on the piano but that’s about it. I tried coloring and liked it for a while but it’s hard to color when I have poor concentration because I make more mistakes and my colors don’t always wind up matching. I also do some sewing but it’s not my favorite thing in the world. Right now I do it with mom but I’m hoping if we do move in September/October that I can quit because I don’t really care for that either.

Thanks for the encouragment guys, i just feel stupid walking into Guitar Center asking to try out a set when I have no clue about the technical aspects of drumming, but i think im gonna take a shot at it.

At first everyone is a beginner. Nothing to be ashamed over. I think the ones at the store gladly will help you because they work there because they love instruments.

if i had the money i would go to solfeggio classes and learn to play a piano
im not late for 30 years because i dont plan to be a professional pianist
and because those young children are dumb so thats the reason they need to start very early
Drums sound good. Have a look at Jim Gordon’s life story. He was a great session and band drummer in the 70’s. Schizophrenic. Doing a life sentance in California for killing his mum whilst psychotic. Very sad story but the man was a beast of a drummer!
