I arrived home with pain on my big toe.
When I went to sleep, I continued to dream about being in horrible pain from an Ingrown toe nail.
I woke up and sure enough, I was still in pain.
If this doesn’t go away I guess they will have to do mini surgery on my toe?
What have been your solutions to ingrown toe nails?
I think it’s because I wore some different shoes yesterday and they rearranged my toe nail!

I use a pair of surgical scissors for when it gets out of hand. Stop it early is my policy.
I have seen on TV what they do for a persistent ingrown toe nail though. They anaethetize the toe with an injection, take off the whole nail. Then they put a special solution on the part that ingrows which means it will never reoccur.
The only thing you feel is the initial anaesthetic injection, apparently. It takes about 10 minutes or so.

I’m so scared I don’t like surgery. It better grow out of my skin haha haha.

The pain of a persistent ingrown toenail is worse than the surgery!
You don’t have to watch it being removed! You can take support from a friend and close your eyes.
Are you in the UK? That channel 5 GP surgery show often shows the ingrown toenail op of you want to see it done. It will be on the 5hub.

Thanks though I’ll check it out on YouTube.
I’m assuming you’ve never had the surgery then

No, but I have had an ingrown toenail and bore the pain of digging it out with a pair of surgical scissors. Oh the pain!
Luckily it hasn’t come back, and I make sure when I cut my toenails I strip it right back at the corners. It is worth doing that.
