Minor operation

I had an ingrown toenail plus my whole toenail on my big toe had peeled upwards off the skin. The doctor said the best option would be to remove the whole toenail and regrow a new one. So he gave me four mildly painful shots of local anesthetic in my toe and grabbed a tool and yanked off my toenail. Then he showed it to me. Well, he wrapped up the toe in gauze; at least I get to miss tomorrow at work. The operation hurt, but not as bad as I thought it would.

Glad you got it sorted. Sounds a painful process but glad you got it done.

Ouch! Hope it heals up ok @77nick77 - hopefully it’s more comfortable with it removed

I had to have that procedure done on both toes. When the ingrown nails grew back again I had it done again but he did a permanent procedure and I don’t get those anymore.

My Mom had a really severe case of toe fungus and had to have her big toe nail removed.
It was pretty much painless

And what was that?

Just clipped them so they don’t grow back. Didn’t feel any different than the first
