Since i take benzos i have little anxiety.
But i am duller, i don’t feel like myself but i do things which couldn’t do them because of anxiety.
They make me feel old also. I think i give up on being functional in favour of being myself

I feel like benzos shouldn’t be prescribed, because after you build up a tolerance and a physical dependence, all you have to look forward to, in some sort of way is pain. I’m serious, keep taking your medication if you’re reading this, its critical, as coming off benzos is as painful as getting on them and shouldn’t be done without a controlled taper and medical advice.
I’ve lost a part of my self to benzos, and I’m not afraid to say it, don’t underestimate this class of medication, especially if you dissociate, because I feel they worsened my dissociative amnesiaa which I believe I have.
To clarify, I’m still taking clonazepam, but am trying to get my idiot doctor to taper me off it, I’m not saying doctor’s are idiots, my old doctor was okay, I just have issue with my new one, .

Maybe take them as needed - when your anxiety is too much to handle.
Sorry your dilemma sucks. Not much of a choice.

I’m the same way on Clonazepam
Dull and slow but I get to accomplish things I normally wouldn’t be able to off the Clonazepam.

I refused them. I know I would get dependent on them.
i just use the benzo as a prn. Don’t take it often just when i have a really bad day.
