My daughter is suffering from

Depression and anxiety really bad. I need antidepressants to control mine and she refuses to take them. When she was on one at the highest dose she started doing really well. But then she quit taking it and she’s gone spiraling down again. I’m really worried about her. Her dad doesn’t believe in medication and it’s rubbed off on her

Do you have a family member who she trust that you can have talk to her about the benefits of taking meds for depression?

Not really. I mean my husband can but she cares more about what her dad thinks. I’m just concerned because at her age I was extremely suicidal and made attempts many times.

She doesnt listen to her Dr?

Not at all. She was very ill as a baby and young child and the drs were all mean and callous with her. It was horrible. She has ptsd from her treatments she received all those years

It was so bad @Aziz that she would pee her pants every time she saw a dr. It was so awful

Can you talk to her friends or bf if she has one? Maybe they can convince her if there is no family members that can.

She doesn’t have friends unfortunately and her boyfriend and her broke up. He couldn’t deal with her panic attacks and depression

Sorry to hear that. Maybe her therapist can convince her? Does she listen to therapists?

She doesn’t like seeing therapists because they’re paid to talk to her. She doesn’t like that.

I sent a prayer up for you. I’m sure things will get better.

Try to convince her that antidepressants can help her. Keep pouring on the love. Watch her to make sure she doesn’t try suicide.

I am so sorry
My sister is non compliant with antidepressants too
She has the idea that meds are not for her, but okay for me
they are my answer, not hers she believes

I don’t know if my sister has schizophrenia but she’s been delusional for a long time

I hope that your daughter sees it could help her
