And what you said about your parents… I’d just not pay much attention to that. They don’t know as much as you know about sz. Some people just don’t get that it’s a physical illness. The end result of you coming off all meds is psychosis. Period. End of story we’ve all seen it here a billion times. It’s nice to think that it would just fix itself but isn’t that why you started meds in the first place? Because you had a psychotic break? So then stopping meds will put you back in the exact same place.
No sometimes Klonopin is prescribed for TD when other meds don’t work @pintac @Hanna_Foxx
If things are starting to look desperate and your doctor won’t budge, I would change doctor and get a some fresh eyes on your situation. That’s what I did, and it saved my life…long story.
Do you still have symptoms on your current meds? Do your meds help you?
You seem to have complex health issues @Hanna_Foxx. That may require your doctor taking an equally complex approach with meds. I’m not a doctor so I can’t say, but the training process for doctors usually (but not always) screens out the idiots.
@Ribbit I have very mild psychosis symptoms, very little depression, not too bad negative symptoms either.
I agree that it’s time for a full med review to be sure you really need all that.
I’m on a lot of meds, but I need them all.
You may or may not need them all so it’s best to review with the pdoc who prescribes it all. Song be afraid to ask questions.
If you’re really unsure that you have to be on all of this medication, you can get a second opinion from a different psychiatrist.
You are in high doses of many medicine. I was never went more than 2 medicine to control my schizophrenia. If you require more than take it in morning afternoon and night. But why on different types. Similarly you can high up the mg of medicine.
