So if I’m gone for days at a time, this is why. Love ya, chordy…
What is wrong with it?
Mostly just getting old. I think it overheats. It will be awhile before I can get a new tower. We are awfully busy and stressed preparing for state inspection.
Try running the free version on ccleaner on it.
Then just to make sure the free version on malwarebytes on it.
Finally give it a clean with a can of compressed air
We did just clean it and got it back to work. but I think I will shut it down when not in use.
Get a can of air duster and just blow air all over it…
Especially the fans and stuff… I service computers and would do so for you on a complimentary basis miss matriarch…
Sorry that it has issues. Take care. We hope you are back among us soon.
Azley, your Wise Disk Cleaner is cool. They now have Wise Registry Cleaner too.
You hear they are removing MS Paint from windows 10?
Not sure. But on my PC, I still can find Paint (under Windows Accessories) and Paint 3D as well.
If it is true, too sad to lose Paint (2D).
Yeah… It’s still on there for now… but from what I read it’s slated to disappear at some point.
It’ll just let some of the third party free ware stuff stand out a bit more. There were some good ones.
I used paint a lot… it’s like the notepad of images… cropping screenshots of the desktop and all that…
but the new paint isn’t nearly as easy to use as the traditional one on windows xp or prior… They changed up a bunch of stuff and the new features are neat… but when I used the traditional paint I would comb over that ■■■■ pixel by pixel and the older version was really good for it.
The new one has the two color selector thing and it’s not intuitive at all… transparency for selection background color and all the finer workings of ms paint got a whole lot more muddled than they should have been.
I see. Paint is good, just like what you have described it, the notepad of images.
I suggest you can use Snipping Tool (under Windows Accessories) to capture screen and save directly. (Rectangle, Window, or Full Screen).
Yes, I agree with you that sometimes the newest is not necessarily the best.
I, for one, have given up allowing auto-update on my Android phone. These software makers cannot keep changing the user interface from time to time. Users need to learn how to use it again.
Azley, do you use Google Chrome? Have you noticed the modifications to their Settings? I am completely lost.
Hah, nope… that is pretty different. The probably thought the segmentation and side menu was more complicated than they liked.
It’s funny… it’s just the aesthetic taste of the “pros” up there who are determining what that is for everyone else…
This year we have side load menus… and then it’s click to expand blocks… and then back… like the whole windows 8 and 10 having the Tablet mode… What did they call it… Windows Metro… like having the panels like that has anything to do with a city at all… really funny.
I like software though… If I had the resources I’d design an operating system… this sounds grandiose but in my long term plans in life… having a serious look into it is on my list.
Technology is getting simpler and more powerful… Like ARM processors… people have coded up from scratch all kinds of stuff in assembly on the raspberry pi… That’s the assembly language I’m watching closest… Simple language, more elaborate but straight forward code structures…
I really do understand quite a bit of it… Gotta manage memory on the chip and in the ram… the programming is just programming…
I’m not to worried about security issues… That’s a big reason why browsers and modern operating systems have so much flack to them…
For windows 10 weighing in at about 25 gigs… I’m still pretty impressed with what they’ve done with it. Compatibility wise it’s getting to the point where I’m running everything natively without finding additional drivers or installing old C++ libraries via virtual studio…
It’s got good back end support… It’s cool that it runs on 4 gigs ram… but I wish they could have trimmed it down a bit more… My pc runs fine on that amount, but I certainly can’t do anything to impressive with it.
2d paint will be available for free from the app store, due to public outcry!
nice thanks for the info
I enjoyed reading your replies, Azley, and can understand almost all of them. But I don’t want to go into detail in discussing computer technology as it would affect my mental fitness.
All the best to your design of operating system!
… as you wish then.
I’m getting hp pro book laptop gonna play wow and sc2 and doable 3
