My brother got a concussion

He fell from a high place while drunk. He is Germany and there’s nothing my family or I can do at the moment.
All I know is that he fell and lost his consciousness. He is drinking further now, ignores thie situation and does not go to hospital.
My family is scared and angry on him. Why he is so irresponsible?? I read that concussion can have very serious consequences.
Sometimes I hate the fact what life my bro is choosing. He doesn’t give a ■■■■ about anything, use too much drugs and alcohol.
Still, I don’t want him to be dead.

To add, my mom is going crazy. All I can say she is also very annoyed by the fact there is nothing we can do, because he is far away from us

He should not be left alone.
Maybe he’s got friends there, or a partner?
Dealing with loneliness is hard enough, maybe that’s why he abuses alcohol?

You could talk to him more often, show him how you are fighting serious mental illness. Try to set a positive example.
I don’t know what else you could do for him under the circumstances.

Guys there’s possibility he will die because he got a contusion… I don’t think that talking with him could help.
He has serious problems and no matter what I did in my life he never listened to me

He needs to go to hospital as soon as possible, but no one is helping him and I believe he also does not want to go to hospital

I’m sorry, this is an awful situation to be in.

It is :face_holding_back_tears:
It’s really awful. My brother destroyed my life in some way, still though, I don’t wish him death. I really have this dream that he will change one day. That he will stop doing drugs and change one’s behaviour @everhopeful

It’s tough, but at the end of the day, you can’t protect someone from themselves.

All you can do is encourage them to get help.

To keep yourself sane, maybe you could go to al-anon in Lithuania.

It’s a group for people who have relatives who are alcoholic .
