ty. i had learned ducking a while back in music tech class… i think you may be hear the blend of reverb maybe
oh the vocals were also recorded way distant in time and i think on different mics if i remember clearly… so the chorus vocs come out on top more
Possibly - it could just be my brain pumping haha I have a pretty bad migraine right now.
I had a squizz at some of your other tracks - lots of variety and some really nice stuff (which I will put more time into listening to properly )

i hear a very Moody Blues feel
you know much about promotion?
Yep, but also a lot of heavy rock and metal. He’s a talented chap who is equally at home playing acoustic jazz as prog metal.
Not really, mate … I never finish my own compositions haha too busy starting new ones or mixing other people’s work. What kind of advice are you looking for?
This is probably the most complete thing I’ve uploaded in recent times:
this is excellent great jazzy island feel.
im getting to a point i feel it would be a good step to promote my songs for folk to hear
Thanks, HuckFinn. I love all things groovy.
Promoting yourself … cross promotion seems a good start. Create a Youtube channel, for example, and use one to point to the other. Use social media and forums (lounge sections and/or your signature) to regularly market old and new work. Maybe consider starting a blog where people can read all about what goes on behind the scenes and what being you is all about as an artist.
Maybe even try Patreon.
In terms of how to turn promotion into revenue - if that was a strength of mine, I mightn’t be broke!
