Music Production- tunes, discussion & queries 2

No pressure! I was wondering why you weren’t posting new stuff, had to come back to this post to remember.

The pan drum sounds ideal for you! It would give your tunes some meditative vibe. Are you going to record it in the future?

I have a new tune in the making and have added the pan drum to it. I’ll start recording it on saturday I reckon.

Need to work on the guitar bit too though. I have it down on the acoustic, mostly anyway.

Taking my time these days. Plus ,actually playing the guitar rather than keyboard is more tricky but more rewarding for me, but it takes awhile for my beginner’s hands to nail.

I don’t want to be manic about it either by knocking out tunes and then wearing myself out.

here is one I haven’t posted before and made a few weeks ago.

What do you think?

Sounds great!

Have you ever tried to record multiple instances of your voice and use them together? Like to make some sort of a chorus?

Btw I think your voice sounds great

I did it a litlle on ‘No god in the temple’ in the chorus.

This one sounds a little more muffled, but I like the idea!

@labratmat I guess you used the “cathedral reverb” intentionally for the concept?

Sort of. Just hoped it could sound better with a little chorus.

Hey man I’m still doing little adjustements. Did two (2) fills in the song at 1/3 and 2/3 of the duration. Idk if they are enough, but I don’t want to overdo them.

The thing is that the synths are confusing the form somehow. They are pretty random.

I’m trying to fit a scratch over the song, but I feel it’s too much lmao

I’m a fan of the fuk yo feelings album. Check this ones! Herbie Hancock is playing on the first track

We should tag @Schztuna . What are your favs from Glasper? Tulane just discovered him yesterday

Nice! I’ve got lots more discovering to do of him as well, but these performances are all otherworldly:

…I dig the covers a lot !

I knew the first one, but not the other two!

Covers are great, it’s the best way to pay respect to your influences.

Got my pan drum in this haunting and depressing melody that I composed and played by myself.

Hang in there for the bleak lyrics in this one.

Personally, I like depressing music but each to their own!

Enjoy!

How are the electronic drums working out?

I think you got me confused with someone else. I haven’t posted any music here. I did play in a band once, but that’s like 15 years ago.

I have recorded a few coversongs over the years, but only guitar and vocals.

oops! i have confused you with @mrhappy but he seems to have disappeared…

Sorry…

I think he has a new username now. But I don’t remember what it is. I think @anon82948922 might know.

that is what i am doing! i am a newbie but what do yo uthink of my guitar pieces out of curiosity?

Listened to footy footy fotball. It was interesting. Not bad at all.

I’m not sure, the sound was maybe clipping a little, not so easy to hear on my smartphone, but anyway that’s just s technical issue that is easy to fix. The song itself was nice.
