Does anyone else need to listen to some sort of music(or sound) almost all the time to dull hallucations?
I have music tv channels on all the time as background sounds. I don’t hallucinate or hear voices though.
I’m pretty much tuned into music while I’m awake.
yea i listen to music 24/7 if i dont i hear voices
My anxiety goes up if it’s quite
I always have some sort of background noise going-- TV or music.
It helps keep the voices to a minimum.
When I don’t have noise, they act up.
Do you visually? I’ve got a lot of issues other than the obvious. Just trying to understand
So it’s just a calming thing? I don’t really mind seeing things, I actually miss when I was first diagnosed empty rooms would be crowed and I could talk to my ex gf again(I know that’s a delusion but it feels real)
Yes, pretty much …
do i visually hallucinate? no not really
Btw you responded to me a few times quickly. Thanks I appreciate it
I listen to calming music most of the day, so I don’t hear what I perceive to be my neighbors yelling insults at me.
Not for hallucinations, but to help me cope with the constant irritating noise from my tinnitus.
I got you. My music is far from calming but it’s my only copeing skill that works
@cdwithdcs I listen to all kinds of stuff including Eminem, kron, Pink, epic rap battles of history, and Ruka Ruka Ali (he’s so funny yet so… Bad lol)
The ringing? I got that bad also I’ve damaged my ears from trying to cover voices
That’s shity. How did it develop?
Like Baby Driver!
Sometimes. My constant sounds like someone flexing a large sheet of aluminum back and forth rapidly and it’s covered in bubble wrap that pops randomly. It was a parting gift from Coversyl, blood pressure med. Both ears. I recently asked for an accommodation at work because it’s interfering with my ability to talk on the phone.
