I could probably handle the voices better if it didn’t come with the shadow ppl

Might not be the healthiest thing in the world but I am very avoidant of stuff

I am really scared of silence so I bought a machine that makes the sound of a fan 24/7.

Headphones too and worry about bad phone calls so unless I am on the forum the phone is on airplane mode.

I can still hear voices through headphones, but because I am always having visual and auditory hallucinations I have to have something familiar playing,w a familiar constant thing, or person to watch or listen to to help me to stay grounded… I try to focus on the one thing on the tv and thru my headphones cause I need that distraction so bad to focus on because it’s the only way I know how to cope with all the constant hallucinations I deal with in all 5 senses… and yes I agree, personally , I believe it would be easier if I only heard voices instead of everything and everyone else I see, and feel and smell and taste along with the voices and things I hear. It makes it so much harder to discern and deal with the different realities, hence the need for the grounding through headphones and the constant tv playing something familiar that I know.

Thank you so much, and I am sorry you have to deal with the shadow people and the voices you deal with as well. I hope you find things to help you cope or deal with them easier

Like others I have headphones on much of the time

Find that listening to familiar songs really does sort of help me keep distracted from the environment

The best thing for voices, for me is; turn everything off. If I listened to loud music, things would get worse.

Listening to loud music whether it be in my car or at home on my cd /stereo 5-disc player makes me feel in the zone and relaxed unless its heavy and hard rock music then it energizes me

I listen to music all the time, but the voices are still there.

Not for me, and the visuals still show up if I wear a sleeping mask.
