Lately my symptoms have gotten much worse, and seemingly for no reason. I’m on 50 mg of haldol, 42 mg of caplyta, and finally, 40 mg of ziprasidione. On Saturday, I flat out almost attacked my brother and went berserk on both of my brothers. Then I had a lot of suicidal ideation, and threatened to call 911 on myself. But I eventually calmed down when my brother gave me a hug and I took a benzo. But I was threatening both of them over an argument we were having because I thought they had ulterior motives.
And this incident was not unique to this week. I keep having auditory hallucinations, visual hallucinations, and the most out of all of them, tactile hallucinations, which I understand to be quite unusual.
So, needless to say, I’m looking for perhaps another antipsychotic that is powerful but not Clozapine as one, I refuse, and two, my parents are diametrically opposed to using a toxic medication such as Clozapine.
I’m not sure clozapine is more toxic than many other antipsychotics. There is a blood testing requirement, but it might be removed in the future depending on the results of current ongoing studies. Clozapine is the only antipsychotic that has proven anti suicide and anti violent properties. And it is known to be the most effective.
