Mopping the kitchen floor: helpful hint

My kitchen floor was pretty dirty and stained but my housing counselor told me of a method to clean it. I had my doubts but she was right. You get a plastic bucket or tub and mix two cups of vinegar, a few tablespoons of baking soda and water and dip your broom in it and clean. It worked! It got out all the dirt stains with minimal work and took less than ten minutes and my floor looks like new! I had been putting off cleaning my floor for months because I thought the only way the dirt was going to come up was if I got on my hands and knees with a scrub brush, but this method was easy. My floor is linoleum by the way.

Just rinse the broom afterwards in the kitchen sink or outside with a hose.
