I would like you to tell me weather you feel that poly pharmacology has improved your mental state.
I personally think that polypharmacology with 3 antipsychotics at the same time worsened my metal state much. The 3 drugs Ziprasidone, Seroquel and Clopixol more or less canceled each other out and that I years back in time had been in a much better place with just had kept Clopixol LAI.
After having stopped Ziprasidone many months ago I’m now in the process of dropping Seroquel without the doctor’s consensus and every time I tapper Ifeel a little bit better.
I have the full understanding for that most of you get big benefits from polypharmacology but I’m one of the rare examples where mental state deteriorated.

it made me worse. at one point i was on 60mg haldol a day with 50mg risperdal consta every 2 weeks, with 1200mg of seroquel a day plus 8mg xanax, plus some other ■■■■ i cant remember. 20 some pills a day. i was completely screwed up. i feel thankful i didnt die from that.
ive taken more than one AP since then but in lower doses and its been okay. but 3 at the same time at extremely high doses was terrible.

I was doing great with polypharmacy, Vraylar plus clozapine…until they gave me the QTc prolongation last weekend. Now I’m just on a lowered dose of clozapine. I already feel like cutting on myself, but I think that’s more stress than meds.

Well I went down to 400 mg of qutiapine today. Often psychiatry are the cause of the problem. Not the solution and psychiatric drugging doesn’t work in the long as the famous Danish scientist Peter Gòthche says. Danish psychiatry were in the process of destroying my kidney and liver when I was on large amounts of drugs. So to defend my health I started tapering.
I Rellevant I understand that you fell victim to crime against humanity when those doctors abused and nearly killed you with those massive amounts of drugs.
Raven the problem with drugging is that we don’t know how a mix of meds affect our hearts, kindney or liver.

I take 12 mg Invega, 25 mg clozapine and 150 mg of Wellbutrin.
I’m doing reasonably well.

Johnathan we are not using the word drugging in your case even though you are on the max Invega but we use that word when doctors prescibe two or three antipsychotics concurrently at or abou the max dose. In my case I still se the need for staying on one antipsychotic namely Clopixol 500 mgs every 3 week.
But you must all understand that this wonderfull girl we all know as Rellevant nearly got killed by psychiatric drugging.
For some reason I’m still alive after years of drugging.

Im on 156mg Paliperidone every 3 weeks and lurasidone, buproprion and Fluvoxamine. Ive been on polypharmacy for years at least 20

My second med, Seroquel, allows me to sleep. I was in the goverment VA hospial once, and they had a rule of only 1 med. Did not recover well on 1 med. I am 76 years old, so polypharmacology with smaller doses has not killed me.

We had a girl in high school that had Mono. I believe she treated it with Polypharmacology.
So in the theoretical matchup between Mono and Polypharmacology I would give Polypharmacology 2 to 1 odds.

I think I caused some offense with my writings I didn’t really mean that there were anything wrong with taking multiple antipsychotics or antidepressants but only used the term drugging in relevants and my case where psychiatry druged us on large amounts of meds that make us look that drugged that people thinks we are on some strange narcotics or alcohol. Massive doses of antipsychotics that are toxic to our boddies.
So point of no return. In the common weeks I go from hero to zero on Qutiapine and I’ll stay on the LAI.

Apparently Vraylar doesn’t increase QTc intervals

Thank you to everyone for contributing to this thread. You all helped me se clearly about my meds so I think 500 mg Qutiapine Will do. I’ll go get an appointment with a house doctor I’ve never met before. So that we get the 500 mg qutiapine on paper.
So thanks to all of you because I don’t think I look that doped on meds anymore.
I take 150mg now too for negative symptoms. I have an apt in end feb to increase it to 300mg

The only time I took more than 1 ap was when I was on olanzapine and had insomnia, dr prescribed low dose quetiapine for insomnia
