But there are evil ways of getting money. It seems like anything with power can be good or evil - fire water, attraction, and so on.
Why you hatin’ one me for being an Amway rep @PinCushion??
They say that “money is the root of all evil”. That is partially true, but it is more true money is the root of all good. They don’t build people’s houses out of charity. They don’t make cars out of the goodness of their hearts. Everything you own came to you, not out of sympathy, but because you had money.
No comprenez. What is an Amway rep?
Money is not evil.
But people with Billions+ are questionable.
The US has 1000 billionaires that barely pay their taxes.
I think millionaires are the new middle class.
Ive got some high quality snake oil incase yer interested. Made of pure 100% somalian snake.
You’re either capital or you’re labour.
Money isn’t evil neither are guns but the people that use them are.
You did not post the entire quote. It’s “the LOVE of money is the root of all evil”
Couldn’t help myself. Read the entire book from start to finish. Took me a year….derivative dribble the lot of it.
Anyway there we go.
Everyone needs money
Everyone
Without money yer starving and living under a bridge
Right. Money is just another of our necessities.
My life without money is pure suffering
Without money I feel the suffering of my desires
I live for what money can buy
I wholeheartedly disagree. There are so many angles under which this is wrong that to list them all seems impossible but I’ll try to get at the key points.
First of all you need to realize that Money is a layer of separation and how that changes things. Let me give you an example, why do you think every gambling site or modern game has its own currency? It’s because the extra layer of separation dilutes your awareness of what you are actually doing. Paradoxically that’s done to dilute your awareness of the Money you are spending but that holds true for Money itself. This doesn’t just have a massive impact on spending habits, it drastically affects the ability of people to do all sorts of things especially when coupled with the dynamics of the fact that Money these days is ALL fiat currency and that inflation is baked into the system. There are competing progressions which allow all sorts of shenanigans, of which the person is not even necessarily aware due to the effing aforementioned layer of separation.
For example, which one do you think is harder to pull off? Giving a 2% pay cut each year the good old fashioned way to the whole world for decades on end by actually playing you less, or simply reducing the buying power of your money? The two are not even remotely close.
I could go on and on forever but basically Money is evil by default and we’ve made it more evil than it needed to be. Money isn’t necessarily evil, in that if we were Gods and didn’t have things, or they didn’t behave as they do, like the stock market or target inflation we could get away with having Money around but that’s not the case and we aren’t Gods, we are fallible human beings and Money makes it easier to f*ck up, hence: evil.
I think Money is Happiness, It’s a pursuit.
It’s not money itself that is evil but " The LOVE of money is the root of all evil"
In that case my banker is very evil
Money isn’t evil. I think people are evil. I always thought there were more sociopaths and psychopaths in the world than the 1-2% statistic, but that’s just me.
Money is not evil. Having too much of it is. Mo ey is a resource or representative of a resource like wood, food, water etc. having these things is not evil. But taking more than your fair share of it is because it leaves others without enough.
Money is primarily just a trading tool. Much more advanced than bartering.
Wish I would be able to work for my money, I hate sz.
