My mom’s memorial was today and I cried like a baby. No matter how much I tried to man up, I couldn’t hold back the tears. It was just embarrassing with everybody there. Talk about being self conscious. Anybody have a similar experience?

Yes, I did the same thing at my father’s funeral. Sorry for your loss.

I was sobbing at my dad’s funeral. It is a really sucky thing to have to go through. I’m sorry you have to deal with this. It’s been ten years, and I still miss my dad a lot. His birthday was last Friday, and I spent the whole day crying on the couch.

It’s your mother. No one would expect you not to cry. Sorry for your loss.

Yeah it’s normal to feel sadness and cry especially during a Memorial Service.

@muzikos. I’m sorry you’re going through this. Losing a parent is really rough. You shouldn’t feel embarrassed about crying.
