All of it right now is unbearable. For me 90’s and early 2000’s music is the jam. Of course Pearl Jam, The Scorpions, Jimmy Hendrix when it comes to bands/musicians
I used to like kpop but all the songs right now just trying to appeal to US music charts. And collaborating with artists who have a big social media following opposed to actual musicality. It’s not just kpop that does this. Pretty much all music.
Anybody who I ever thought could actually hold a note and had an original swagger , is unfortunately not so active in mainstream anymore. Or for whatever reason gets the bad end of the stick.
I agree. Today’s music is just annoying. 60s music up to 90s music always makes me think about good times with great emotions when I listen to it. Today’s music is bland and boring and it’s cold. It’s repetitive crap with electro background music. Even the bands are bland these days.
Today’s music tries to be epic, but I’m like…this is utter crap.
Youtube is a great resource for finding music. It’s where I stumble upon new artists all the time. But yeah, music on the radio is garbage (unless it’s satellite radio)
Western sperm count has halved in the last 40 years and it’s showing in modern music. Plastic kills sperm count and other things. I know it sounds disgusting but that’s the truth I think.
Yup. I mostly listen to new music. I like the oldies, but I can’t listen to nothing but old music. I don’t want to be that guy who does nothing but complain about everything that has happened since he was 25.
There’s plenty of good music being released but its not on the radio.
Try looking into Post Rock, Math Rock, Prog Rock. Theres still a very active scene out there that makes decent rock music, but as I say you have to go find it yourself.
Some recent rock bands I like : Tigercub, The Guru Guru, Mogwai, Them Crooked Vultures, Black Peaks, Chon, Gold Key, Grails, Polymath, Talons, Toe, Toska.
I’m not into Metal, but that scene seems to be very big too.
