A couple days ago, I missed two doses of risperidone. I woke up at midnight with that familiar psychotic terror as if I had just woken from a nightmare. I heard dying cats under my bed and immediately turned the light on and went to the bathroom where I saw myself distorted in the mirror. I ended up sleeping with the light on. One of the last things I remember from that night is seeing part of the wall sculptured as Marilyn Monroe.
I don’t normally have such vivid visual hallucinations. After missing just two doses of risperidone within one day, this happened. I’m afraid to miss a single dose now. Has anyone else had returning symptoms like this after missing only a few doses?
It depends on what I miss… If I miss the Seroquel… Yes… my brain spins faster and the head circus comes back for the big show.
If I miss the Latuda… I’m then just overly tired from the Seroquel and I get spacey and slow.
Thanks for the reply. I’m getting a scheduler so it doesn’t happen again. Maybe will talk to my psychiatrist about the longer acting version of risperidone. By the way @SurprisedJ, I’m glad that Latuda is working well for you!
I think this was 2009. I was stable for something like 10 years. So my tdoc and pdoc thought we’d see how I’d go withdrawing. both my risperidone and fluvoxamine
I went to my local support group A new girl had joined the group and I was weird around her very unlike myself for three hours. I was beyond irrational what I saying and doing. Anyway the group had finished for the day. I was walk out and got paranoid and thought I’ll just try and get some sleep when I got home. I did but when I woke there was a image of two people at the end of the bed. The images dispelled but felt something on my check but nothing was there. That was the very next day of reducing my meds. Which I take both at night.
So are you gong back on the meds or giving it a rest? I think it will only take a few good sleeps to get you back on track. But does give you an idea that it is working or was working for you. .

I missed my doses accidentally. I’m definitely taking them on time now. I hope your symptoms didn’t last too long before you got back on track.
