I miss you all, so I decided to visit this forum today.
A few topics mention about positive thinking, yes, we truly need uplifting words in the current world.
I have nothing better to offer except to say that emotional and intellectual withdrawals work for me. In that way, no one can ever hurt my true feelings anymore.
Before the withdrawals, I often feel intense hostility towards strangers who I thought are disrespectful especially with their eye contact.
As a side note, my father and I are moving to another city from the capital city.
We could not feel neighbourhood love in our current community, so my father has decided to leave there.
I have many issues to complain but I just keep it to myself. Unemployment, poverty, disfellowshipping, mental illness- all are hard to bear without the financial support from my beloved father.
I hate it when people with mental illness use employment to compare their mental well-beings among themselves (elsewhere, not here) although I know people need to earn a living, and I am still looking for another job myself.
Thank you. It is common for people around us to ask “What do you do for a living”, but I have never expect it from mental health community (not here).
I agree. sometimes, a man needs to just step back, withdraw, and give himself some time to recover and rest. Short-term and long-term isolation can be a somewhat helpful recovery method, and even a method of re-awakening, in some situations.
I missed you too @Plumber. I’m glad you’re back and I’m sorry you have to move but I understand what it’s like to not feel community spirit and want to leave that place.
I’m also sorry you felt uncomfortable on another mental health board.
I am getting better today, but we will move anyway, my father has just paid the deposit for the new apartment. Thank you for your concern, turtle, I slept earlier yesterday, only able to read your message just now.
