Mind your space etiquette

Everybody hates it when you are in a line at the grocery store or any other place with a line and someone stands too close. I wanted to get out of the house so at 11:30 pm I straightened the house, filled a Jack-in-the Box cup up with ice and juice, put my coupon for CVS (drug store) in my pocket and took off.

I got to CVS and I was buying something and at first I was the only one in line. Then some 19 or 20 year old kid came up to the line behind me and I was paying for soda and the guy was just standing too close. So I shot him a look and was paying for my stuff and I think he knew he was too close and he didn’t move. So I got really mad and I took a step towards him in his space and cut right in front of him. Then I realized the seriousness of the situation but I didn’t care.

There were four of us standing there and I got my change and I said to him, “It’s your move man” and just looked at him. He didn’t do anything so I left. I saw him outside and I was looking at him and he was looking at me and he still didn’t do anything. I got to my car and I got in and I was thinking about it and I laughed to myself. I know I shouldn’t do stuff like that but I felt like James Bond or Rambo or someone like that delivering a really cool line. I rarely do stuff like that, I know how dangerous it is but I was really angry and it just came out of me.

Chalk one up for us old guys!!

I think you were in the right. Nice bond reference :ok_hand: I’ve had people invade my bubble while getting my meds. It’s always the people in the disability carts. No offense to anyone that uses one.

Thank you.

Hell, I’m old enough that I remember seeing Sean Connery play Bond at the movies.
