Might not be on for awhile

My mother in law is planning to shut off my phone. She says I have been talking to my parents alot. I haven’t spoken to them in at least two weeks before calling yesterday to wish my dad a happy birthday. The time before that was when my brother punched my mom

Tell that jerk that your money pays for the phone, and if you don’t have a phone you’ll stop handing over your disability money.

I agree with @Ninjastar,

They treat you poorly,

But without your checks,

They can’t survive.

Tell her if she cuts off the phone you’ll have to use your next check to purchase a new phone and plan,

See how she feels about that.

Absolutely this. You need a phone. You deserve a phone. If they won’t help with that, use YOUR money to get one before handing over your check. You can do it. Stand up for yourself.

My partner said if she has to she will get me a phone tomorrow when she gets paid. I already said I’m taking 40 off of my rent. She doesn’t think they will shut it off but I say let them and I will get my phone tomorrow

Seriously, you two need to get away. They use you and on top of that have serious control/manipulation issues that border on verbal and psychological abuse. They only seem to mellow out and try to be nice when they’re afraid of you leaving, that you won’t do everything for them anymore, or that they will be caught and face possible consequences for their behavior.
Why is it that you feel the need to not only support them, but let them lay around while you take care of their responsibilities? You’re the victim, but if you continue to enable them to do this to you, you are just consenting to their ■■■■■■■■.

@eighteyedspy23 is right. This is what I’ve been saying. Your in-laws are the epitome of toxic people. Can you and your partner find a studio to share? What’s stopping you from moving out again?

You ought to apply for section 8 housing. Did you ever hear back on your SSI review?

I dont qualify for hud housing my partner makes too much. I haven’t heard from SSI yet it’s been months. I’m worried. But I talked to my partner about getting her license back and she finished the driving course she just has to take the test. But her van is busted so she has to borrow the car.
