I too, remember the late 1980s where I had to configure the
autoexec.bat
config.sys
as well as remember all the command lines for MS-DOS. Windows 3.1 was operating on a 320x240 resolution. Still remember those CRT monitors and had to configure drivers for the mouse, sound card & CD-ROM to work.
I remember playing around with those (autoexec.bat and config.sys). My computer couldn’t run Kings Quest V no matter what I did. I contacted IBM and some guy there was really nice and mailed me a boot disk with the correct configuration. Worked like a charm after that.
So am I but I have used beta/leaked software in the past and it is usually subpar. But I’ll probably be installing Win 11 on day one as soon as it is officially released.
I did it, I installed Win 11 on my laptop, Gotta say I really like it so far. Latest Nvidia drivers for Win 10 work fine. Here is a screenshot from my laptop mining Ethereum…
I’ve been playing around with Windows 11 for a day now. It’s kinda like Windows 10 with a pretty new skin, with some differences. The screensaver even still says Windows 10. I know its not a finished product but if the final version is similar to this I will definitely be upgrading on day one of release.
