Have any of you tried metformin for weight loss/hunger suppressant? Did it work?
There is no magic pill for weight loss. Exercise and eating healthy or eating less is the way to go.

Abilify increased my blood sugar so I’m on 1500mg metformin a day. It’s not really helping me with weight loss. My appetite is the same.
Obviously. I do both. I have lost weight but due to the medicine my hunger is off the roof. I was told by doc that this can help with hunger suppressant/weight loss.

How long have you been on it?
Well over a year.
I take it but I didn’t lose weight on it. The Zyprexa and the Depakote are quite strong I guess. I continue taking it in order to maintain my blood sugar.

What antipsychotic are you on? Abilify made my hunger go through the roof too until I started taking a bcomplex. Then it returned to normal.
Next month im starting vigorous workout sessions.

Try taking a bcomplex daily it might work for your AP too.
I’m on a 4 week injection of 400mg of Abilify since January of this year and my appetite hasn’t changed. It’s really the amount of calories consumed vs. calories burned.

What is bcomplex?
Just a collection of b-vitamins in one pill.
