She’s very recovery focused. She told me to make a schedule for myself, to color, and do relaxation things from an app on my phone. I guess I’ll give it a try
Did she reccomend any good phone apps.
No. She just said to look on my phone @GrayBear
What’s a peer @LilyoftheValley?
A peer support specialist is someone who has mental illness but has overcome disability from it. They spend time with you once a month and help you. I get it through county health @Wave
By peer, do you mean therapist?
I have one. Thinking of canceling it.
No. A peer is not a therapist. A peer is a person with mental illness who used to be disabled but is no longer disabled
Cool. Sorry I missed your answer to Wave.
It’s ok @PinCushion. It’s hard to read every post out there.
Are you going to make a schedule for yourself?
I guess. I’ll try it. I didn’t like that we were supposed to meet for an hour and she called it after 15 minutes
I wouldn’t like that either. I would feel jipped.
Yeah. She scheduled another spot with me but I may cancel. I haven’t decided yet.
I think I would give it one more try, you know, just to see. But if she cut me short again I would say something.
Ok. Good idea @Leaf. I guess that’s what I’ll do.
Then you can find out why she’s cutting it short, if she does.
I’ve had 2 other peers and it’s never happened before so it just seems so strange
oh, I didn’t know that
