Meds and eating

I eat more when i lower my dose or go off meds. I was off meds for 2yrs i didnt lose weight i was still eating a lot

I lost 55kg on 6mg risperidone but since lowering my dose a month ago i gained 4kg, maybe cause i am alone in the house

I lost a lot of weight when I was on a very low dose of psych meds

I was pretty thin in the hospital

I gained a hundred pounds on clozapine. Lost most of it by now. Starting to go up again on Abilify I have to diet pretty aggressively to lose weight or maintain

You won’t gain weight if you control your calories regardless of meds. I used to blame all my weight gain on meds until I tried dieting limiting calories, first time I lasted two weeks, then 3 months and now its been almost a year I am dieting, don’t give up, keep trying.

I still have some cheat days but i never eat chocolate or fried chips. I eat baked protein chips 130 cal

I weight less than when I was on 10mg Abilify now. Limit your calories, keep trying.

I use MyFinessPal and my weight stays the same, but I need to lose weight. Sometimes I get an upset stomach and I can’t eat, but it passes.

I used to not or eat very little I was losing consciousness and falling on the floor, my family picked me up and wanted to call 911. I started eating more and no more fainting

Since losing my job 2 days ago I’ve been binge eating again. It’s so much bad food. My morbidly obese friend eats less food than me. It’s impulse control issue on aripiprazole

Yes eating has an emotional componenent. I studied in psychology class some depressed or mad people eat more when stressed

With my schizophrenia i didnt find it that hard to lose weight. Gotta watch the pie hole.
