Meditation and sz to find peace ✌️

Is meditation a good option to find peace while living with a schizophrenic mind? Has Anybody tried meditation for a decent length of time?

Medication is great, healthier living is even better for sz. I beat this disease before n I believe I can beat it again. Will have to quite drinking n smoking. But soon as I get my new apt ill throw away the bad habits, hopefully for good.

I can’t meditate with active voices in my head. I used to, before I began hallucinating. I guess I could try again during a stretch of no-voices.

Meditation has helped more than you could imagine. It helps a lot with voices and paranoia for me.

For me, meditation is honestly like a “let the voices talk” session. Someone on here suggested it to me, and I’ve tried a few times, but generally, it makes my voices stronger.

edit: Some forms of meditation, such as the 54321 exercise, bring my anxiety down, but don’t really help my voices.

I use an app called insight timer for guided meditation. I find it really relaxing.

Meditation for me means introspection it is a way to look at my emotions thoughts and desires and practice self denial or how i think and feel about the bible.
