Medication Fabrication

I ordered my Glipizide 3 days ago from pharmacy. The recording said they would have it ready the next day and I went in late this afternoon to get it and they still have not filled.

They say they have been calling doc for refills for 2 days with no response.

At last doc appt on Monday they said the would order them as well.

Getting tired of running out of diabetes meds. Last week it was ozempic and this week its glipizide.

Yeah if the medication is important then maybe explain that to the doctor get them to write you an extra half supply so you always have some. Fill your script a couple of days early each time and build up a backlog. Call the pharmacy over the phone and ask them to order it in when you know you’re one week out. Change pharmacys all valid options, if you rely on the medication don’t rely on bad businesses.

I usually order my next batch of AP’s 1 month before I run out, to get another 3 month supply. You never know if they will have problems getting it.

Ha ha ha. You’ll appreciate this. I went to refill my Saxenda and I can’t get any for two weeks because they are redirecting the supply to diabetics who can’t get Ozempic right now. They can use it at higher doses with more side-effects, but I guess it is better than nothing.

It can be used if they can’t get Ozempic, but Ozempic is preferable. Stronger med with fewer side-effects.

That really sucks. I use a med reminder app that reminds me not only when to take my meds but when to refill them. My drs don’t refill pharmacy requests so I have to ask for them directly to the drs offices
