My father in law was pissed at me yesterday long story, anyway he came over and said the apartment looked like a sty since it wasn’t clean to their standards so they may make me get rid of Ed
oh no, can you hurry up and clean it so they won’t be mad?

I cleaned but it is not to their standards the expect perfection. My partner said she will be very upset if they make me get rid of Ed
it all started when their pit/boxer mix got out of the yard they said it was my fault because the back gate was left open. they said i must have left it open over night after taking the trash out. but yet when my father in law let their dog out around 5 in the morning she came right in no trouble. he threatened to kick me out over it if we didn’t find his dog. anyway now today they talked to me like they are getting rid of her but i know they aren’t they are just trying to get me to admit it was my fault but i know for a fact i locked that stupid freaking gate.
he came over last night and said the apartment looked like a sty when even my partner said it looked fine he was just being a dick. but they threatened if i don’t clean to their standards they will make me get rid of ed. it wouldn’t be the first time they made me get rid of a pet but i was hoping he wouldn’t be next.
I hope that you don’t have to get rid of Ed.

they have made me get rid of so many pets its ridiculous. first patches, callie (cats) tyson, habby (dogs) four birds two salamanders one turtle and a lizard. they do it to hurt me i think. they know how attached i get to the animals so they hurt me and punish me by getting rid of the animals i love. to them animals are disposable. they have gotten rid of four dogs, one lizard and countless fish because they got bored with them or they just didn’t want them anymore.

@cbbrown aren’t you paying rent to stay there? I don’t understand how your in laws have any say in what you do if you’re a renter.

i know that’s what kay said. she feels as if we over stayed our welcome with her parents and what was the final straw was her dad has been bothering her about getting a better job so she applied for one in a town about 20 minutes away. at first they were willing to take her then they changed their minds and said she had to find her own way back and forth. so she said she wants to try harder and get her license but her dad said he only wants her driving with him but he never wants to take her out so she is going to ask some people from her work to take her driving. all our extra money is going to go towards a car for her and then a place to move to after she gets a better job.

her current work isn’t the problem its the new place she had an interview with on tuesday but her parents don’t want to take her there. guaranteed if we move out this time they wont help us move so kay said she will rent a u-haul and ask a few friends from her work to help us. the in laws also said they will shut off our phones if we move out again. even though we pay for them. i think they just want kay to be here and not me. they mentioned me going to stay with my parents for a while but i told kay if they do that i’m not paying them rent for however many weeks i’m gone. they don’t get their cake and eat it too.
they also critiqued the apartment its not clean to their standards i try but this time if they say its a sty they have a personal vendetta against me and just want to hurt me by making me get rid of edward. kay left a chore list i did almost every thing except the out side chore (pick up dog poop) according to the in laws kay’s little sister picks up dog poop at her house with her dads and step mom. i don’t think it will kill her to pick up poop here for one day. or scoop the cat box just once while she is here.

I’m glad you’re starting to stand up to them. I hope Kay can find people to take her driving. If they shut off your phones, it’s not the end of the world. Trac-phones are pretty cheap, and they do everything you need. Then, it will just be one less thing they have to control you with.
