Smoking marijuana can lead to more than a euphoric high, and has been linked to long-lasting delusions, mouth swelling and several other surprising effects, according to a new review of research on the recreational use of the drug.

“All recreational users should be aware of potential undesired acute cannabinoid effects,” or the effects of being high on pot, study author Dr. Eva Hoch, of the department of addictive behavior and addiction medicine at the University of Heidelberg in Germany, told Live Science.

Helluva drug in the long run. Especially for those with psychotic tendencies.

I like to think of it like fuel on fire for psychotic people and should not even be abused at any level for any reason not even used by others in front of us.

Dude weed is not for me. It might be for other people but no not for me I have schizophrenia and it makes me hallucinate and lose all control over my thoughts.

I’m in that boat too… my last visit with Dr. Marijuana nearly relapsed me. As I keep saying… I know full well… my high times are over.
