Man - sister has her daughter lying on the phone to me

Phoned up my nephew to have my weekly catch up with him. My niece answers the phone. She tells me her brother is doing his maths homework - no problem.

I then ask if her mum is there (my sister). The phone goes quiet and I hear my niece whisper to her mum, ‘do you want to speak to uncle James?’. My mum replies, ‘no tell him I am asleep’

■■■■■ sake - what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive. Just wanted to speak to family cos my folks are away. Must have had 10 minutes human contact in 10 days. My other sisters don’t answer my calls either.

Really pisses me off that folk see your number come up and purposefully ignore it. My sisters just think I am mentally deranged and have nothing important to say.

How can people get so unkind…

At least they haven’t cut you out of their lives completely. That happens sometimes.

But my experience with family hasn’t exactly been stellar either.

I’ve got a saying now, I mentioned it here before :

“The less help you need, the more you get, and
The more help you need, the less you get”

It pretty much keeps me from be dissapointed in people.

That is very true.

So messed up. Sorry to hear. Don’t know what I’d do, normally I’m the one avoiding the phone calls. (Just can’t pick up the phone)

Can appreciate that. But my sisters pick up the phone to other people, just not me.

That is nasty. Rude. It makes me sick to think that we’d get better treatment if it was a broken leg.

I figured that’s what you meant, that’s why I added the (just can’t pick up the phone) cause she doesn’t have an excuse…
Sorry your sister (or sisters) sounds like a b*tch.
Hope that doesn’t offend you… Lol

Not good to be and feel avoided. Some say it is best not to bother people who go out of the way to avoid you, but may be she had her own problems and she is family after all. We are born alone and we die alone, just not good to be alone in the meantime. Be strong, believe in your self worth and march on oblivious to your wounds. Hang in there Jimbob!

Wow, great parenting, huh?! She’s teaching her daughter deception, intolerance and selfishness all in one call! Learned lack of empathy…
I don’t like your sister. She’s not a nice person.
