I have been taken magnesium 200mg daily for 6 months. It makes me less tired. Also improves my contipation. But not sedated at all.

I took magnesium tablets in an easily absorbable form. My only issue with them is that my brain is incapable of forming routines. So after the first month, i now forget them all the the time.

Together with calcium and zinc they seemed (!) to make my pms better, make me more calm and less anxious and psychotic. Not sleepy.

I took the 500 capsules for a while. I had the bathroom side effect, so I stopped it.

You mentioned once you are taking Centrum.I just bought it and it said 100mg of magnesium.Wasn’t it enough?

No I’m taking a multivitamin that’s similar to Centrum Silver.
It only contains 50mg of Magnesium.

Dang it!!! I’m being put on 500 mg Magnesium 2x/day for migraines. You mean to tell me I’ll be pooping my brains out?!

Yep! I’ve had it given to me in an IV in the hospital, and I used to take 400 mg daily, but I never felt like it helped. My new neurologist wants me to try 500 twice a day, though. We’ll see how that goes. Now I’m nervous about it! I don’t want to spend my life on the potty!
