I have a sensitivity to many drugs/supplements I try. When I started taking Lybalvi last Friday night I noticed excess sedation and dizziness when I went to sleep. Almost like I was drunk. Something was off. The next day I got really self-absorbed and focused on getting out of the city. I snapped at my dog and put her in the kennel for hours so she wouldn’t bug me. I got mad at my mom and questioned why she was calling me when she does this every day. The second time I tried it I was less angry but still felt drunk and excessively sleepy despite sleeping many hours. Needless to say I’ve been stuck in bed and feel to sick to move around much.
Lybalvi is a mix of olanzapine and an opioid antagonist. Something about the opioid antagonist my body reacts negatively too. Just wanted to put this out there if anyone else goes through something similar.
have you tried olanzapine on its own with success? (without the lybalvi samidorphan add on) im on olanzapine and my main concern is the weight ive put on which lybalvi version is supposed to not be as bad about so this info would help
Yeah, I’ve been on olanzapine for 3 years and a month. I have no hallucinations but some left over delusions and mild paranoia. I’ve seen some studies of Lybalvi showing sleepiness as a symptom at rates as high as 60%. Not sure if it goes away.
I also take Lybalvi and I had some strong affects when I first started but it is supposed to help with the appetite that Olanzapine causes. I have lost about ten pounds on it.
Idk I don’t think it’s worth it for ten pounds. I’ve felt angry, depressed, breath smells, sleepy but can’t sleep, craving unhealthy foods and started getting light hallucinations at night. All this and since starting it I’ve gained 5lbs.
Yeah, I stopped it cause I didn’t like the symptoms. I take Metformin and recommend this for weight loss if you don’t exercise as much. By all means try Lybalvi as well!
