My psychiatrist recently ordered me a med which is supposedly Zyprexa mixed with a weight-control drug, the hybrid drug is called Lybalvi and I’ll be trying it soon. Does anybody have any experience with this drug? Long story short Zyprexa works wonders for me but also causes me weight gain… pretty common story.
I take Lybalvi. I’ve been on it for a little over a month. So far I haven’t noticed too many changes. I guess I don’t get hungry as much. It does the job. It’s pretty much olanzapine with samidorphan like you said. So far I’m happy with it. The name is a little bit funny if anything.

That’s cool man, yeah I think the name is stupid. Zyprexa really only put 20 pounds on me until I quit smoking cigs then my weight just crept up until I was 50 pounds over the norm. I’m now back to 20 pounds above but eating less often.

Weight gain and loss can be such a b****
I gained 100 lbs on clozapine
Then lost 75 on abilify.

This is a problem for so many Zyprexa users, we have to choose between being fat and happy or thin and miserable… so I definitely understand the market for a drug like this if it works.
I don’t mind gaining weight so much as I mind the stretch marks I get here and there.
