I spoke to the dietician in my weight management program, and she’s recommended I look for no sugar foods. I’m adding low sugar because some things are gross without sugar (we tried sugar-free jam, but BARF!). Other things should be fine (Jell-o is easy to eat with braces, and sugar-free should be fine). I’d also love any low sodium ideas. Any help is appreciated! P.S.- I’m in the NE portion of the states, so brands may differ, but ideas are welcome all the same.
I can bake. I can decorate cakes and cookies, too!
But seriously, I can bake. I just can’t stand to mix or grill things for long at all. Short prep is ideal.
So I’m on this way of eating due to my various health issues. Number one thing is to not eat anything processed or refined. Make everything from scratch as much as possible, especially sauces. There is a lot of hidden sodium and sugar in pre made sauces. You can really control sodium and processed sugar by making it homemade. The internet is your friend. If you google easy homemade Alfredo sauce, I guarantee you’ll find hundreds of recipes. It may seem daunting at first, but be adventurous. And if you don’t like what you make, the possibilities are endless so you can always make something different.
