I need help with my diet

I’m trying to lose weight and lower my blood pressure so I need 1500 calories a day. I eat a sausage breakfast tamale for breakfast and Mac and cheese for lunch and dinner but that’s too much fat and sodium and maybe cholesterol too.

What can I eat that gives me 1500 calories a day without too much fat and sodium?

Chicken is low in calories. So is fruit and veggie’s.

Fish too. Like tilapia tastes good as well

Try to stay away from foods that are not naturally sweet (ie candy bars). Fruits are fine in moderation

I don’t eat candy bars anymore

I want to eat more chicken

I just started Slim Fast and it’s going well.

That’ll keep you on the right amount of calories and provide some nutrition.

Plus, if you stick to it, you’ll definitely see results.

I think soups are also filling and low in calories.

I eat soup sometimes if my dad or stepmom make it

Maybe just eggs and sausage, or breakfast burrito. I would probably eat oatmeal. A baked potato with sour cream and sprinkled cheese would be better than Mac and cheese. Maybe a hot dog.

Lean chicken, eggs, legumes, beans, fish, veggies.

Sweet beverages can rack up calories.

I know about how many calories I’m getting. I’m going to start eating turkey sandwiches for lunch but I’m not sure how many calories are in them. Maybe 300-350 calories.

I try to avoid sweet beverages because I got diabetes in 2018 from drinking sodas every day

Lots of fat and calories.

Lots of carbs, fat, and calories.

You need to swap in legumes (beans), fresh and cooked vegetables, and cut back on carbs and greasy processed meats. Vegetable soups are filling and inexpensive and they’re generally light on calories. Good place to start.
