Actually, that’s an excellent point. That’s why I’m not a pdoc, right? :wink:

I am currently on the 200 mg Geodon dose. My mood stabilizer and antidepressant have been set for awhile. It’s the AP that’s frustrating to figure out.

Anyway, I started Geodon at 40 mg. This is my 5th dose bump.

I mention this because I only had a max of 5 good days at each level. Then my mania returned and my pnurse would raise the dose again to get me re-stabilized.

With each increase, the mania recedes for a longer period. She says eventually the dose will be enough to stay therapeutic for good.

So yeah, definitely keep that possibility in mind and pose that question to your doc. Very good question.

Even when I dropped from 7mg to 5mg in a week I was becoming way to anxious about everthing

I went back to 7mg and immediately am less anxious

I have never been over 7mg but imagine anything higher should calm my thoughts more than excite them like if I go lower

Hopefully it will be better if I raise it to 5mg, I don’t know, I’ll see what she says

Are you on another antipsychotic @anon40326163 with the Abilify?

I take 24mg Perphenazine with it

I also take max dose tricyclic antidepressant Nortriptlyline

I go into major depression for months but have never had mania last more than 5 or so hours

What’s the dosage you are on? 2mg is suboptimal, could it be your dosage is too low?

Ok I just read that you are on 4mg Risperidone as well , it could be too high a dose then since you are adding 2mg abilify on top of it

There’s also the case of dopamine hypersensitivity being on risperidone

All I know is that it’s almost 2am and I’m wide awake, feels like I just consumed 6 cups of espresso coffees!

This is ridiculous!

Tonight is the last time I’m on this “stimulant”

My doctor told me that I can just stop it anytime if I have to, and that’s what I’m going to do!

Fukk this… I’m done with this drug!
